Malaysian Integrated Medical Professionals Association (MIMPA) & Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia has successfully conducted a Dengue Task Force Training program for volunteers in order to equip them with knowledge and skills for our Dengue One Stop Station (D1SC). D1SC is developed as part of MIMPA's long term plan to tackle Dengue in Malaysia. This station will be equipped with sufficient staff, volunteers, vehicle and etc to tackle all possible hotspots in Peninsular Malaysia. D1SC aims to carry out its activities via various platform:
1. Dengue Task Force; Special trained volunteers that will carry out task at ground zero via research, education & awareness programs, surveillance & social media.
2. Religious & spiritual leaders; Incorporating Religious leaders for dengue prevention program in mosques through Khutbah Jumaat, Priest for Sunday mass in Churches, & even in Buddist & Hindu Temples.
3. Incentive based programs for hotspot areas that maintain Dengue free cases for at least 6 months. Incentives given: free tuition for school children in respective areas, incentives to build or upgrade local infrastructure. No monetary incentives will be practiced.
4. Powerful Social Media Kit to enhance all our members & volunteers on proper dissemination of health information to the community via twitter & Facebook.
5. Evidence based research.
